Murad Rapid Lightening First Impression

Skin... the largest organ in our body and he first thing we see when we look in the mirror or when we look at someone else. It requires daily maintenance inside and out. A common problem many of us suffer from is uneven complexion ranging from dark circles to acne scars. I'm totally obsessed with skin care so I am well aware that Vitamin- C is one of the key ingredients for brightening.  However, if the Vitamin C is not potent enough it will not make much of a diffence. Murad's Rapid Lightening Regimen claims to to help with this issue.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the brand it was founded by board-certified dermatologist and trained pharmacist, Dr. Howard Murad. The Rapid Lightening system is a  full 90-day supply to treat skin discoloration from the 4 major causes of hyperpigmentation: sun, genetics, hormones, and inflammation. Many have claimed that they can start seeing brighter-looking, more even skin tone in as little as 7 days.

I received 5 products about a week ago and  started using these products three days ago.  I don't have an extensive review just yet but I wanted to give a first impression review. I was very excited to recieve the products because my biggest complaint is my dark circles (thanks Ma). I also have some blotchy spots on my cheeks from being in the sun a lot. This picture is a horrible indication of what I look like regularly because I was deathly tired but you get the point. Since the product claims to treat these two issues I look forward to the results.

Now lets get down to it. I primarily use natural products on my skin but Murad is science based. I immediately noticed the smell but it wasn't enough to discourage me from trying it. The Vitamin-C rich Essential-C Cleanser removes skin-dulling impurities to renew skin’s radiance. It is a gel consistencey and lathers nicely. Compared to other cleansers it is not very drying. Next, I applied The Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum, it contains 2% Hydroquinone which lightens dark spots and skin discoloration, this is what I probaby smelled. Three minures later I applied the Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | PA+++ is rich in Vitamin-C and antioxidants to revitalize and protect the skin from further damage. I have combination skin, oily in my T-zone and dry every place else. A little of the moisturizer goes a long way.

I also received two samples. The Advanced Active Radiance Serum and the Intensive-C Radiance Peel. I also tried both of these products once. The peel is recommended twice a week so I look forward to trying it again. Since I have two serums I havent figured out how I will use both.

I'll be sure to keep you updated! Follow me on Instagram to see my progress.
