Come with me to the Westin and #RefreshYourRoutine
I don't know about you but I love a great staycation! Every few months I like to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It's a great way to relax and regroup and it's extremely therapeutic.
Where I lodge is just as important as the location I travel to, in addition to relaxing I like to also enjoy eating amazing food, working out and experiencing what the area has to offer.
The Westin hotel in Buffalo, NY offered just that and more. When we arrived the location was absolutely beautiful. Upon checking in we were taken to our suite and it was GORGEOUS. I immediately fell in love with the warm, cozy decor, the beautiful bathroom with rainfall shower and perfect selfie lighting (haha) and the huge comfy bed. Their newly enhanced Heavenly Bath amenities were like having a spa right there in the room! They are all made with natural ingredients, including aloe, pea extract, shea butter, tea extract and jojoba oil not to mention they smell amazing. My boyfriend fell in love with the hand soap haha. The body wash and lotion were perfect for the cold weather, very moisturizing and lightweight.
The next morning we headed to a yoga at Oseopathic Wellness Center just a few steps outside of the hotel. Have you ever tried wall rope yoga? Neither have I but I officially love it! Our instructor was Liz and she explained the technical term for this type of yoga is Kurunta. Unlike yoga I've typically practiced your body is suspended from ropes on the wall while you change between poses.
It did wonders for my back, especially after all the traveling I've been doing. Following yoga, we had massages and facials. Our aesthetician Amanda gave the most rejuvenating and relaxing facial and neck and shoulder massage ever! While Scott, the massage therapist, worked out the knots and tension in our back and shoulders. It was my boyfriend's first facial and he loved it so much he said he would get them regularly! (Yayy for a new spa buddy haha!)
After our spa treatments we headed back to our hotel room for a quick nap below dinner.
Dinner was reserved at the Patina 250 restaurant located in the hotel. The restaurant had chic decor and food and cocktails were delicious! I started with Housemade Pierogis and had the roasted duck and spaetzle as my entree, while my boyfriend had the jumbo lump crab cake and crispy fried chicken, both are a must try!
The next day we enjoyed breakfast in bed before exploring the rest of the hotel facilities. Check it out here to see what I had.
The fitness center was the best gym I had ever seen at a hotel, top of the line, high end equipment and tons of space. We grabbed a quick lunch at Jake's Cafe, also located in the hotel while we worked.
The weekend was exactly what we imagine but you should check it out yourself. Check out the video below and experience it again with us!
